In the revered tradition of our ancestors, membership in The Order of Knights of St. Mary of Bethlehem is a sacred honour bestowed upon the worthy. By submitting your application, you affirm with unwavering integrity that no impediment bars your entry into this distinguished Chivalric Order. You humbly accept and fervently endorse the Order's venerable principles and exalted mission.
In our steadfast dedication to the purity of purpose, we resolutely repudiate any political entanglements, denouncing all such endeavours. Our mission is firmly anchored in the sacred principles of Faith, Hope, and Charity, serving with devotion as a Christian organization.
The Orders Ethos
The Ethos of our Order proclaims an unwavering defence of the Christian Faith, while honouring the rights and dignity of those who follow other spiritual paths. We resolutely distance ourselves from the conflation of Chivalry with Nationalism, upholding the sanctity of Human Rights as enshrined within the legal frameworks of England, Wales, and Scotland.
The Journey of a Postulant
On receipt of your application we will process with the Privy Chamber, once accepted we will appoint you a Preceptor who will contact you and talk you through the vows of a knight. If you agree to continue, your ceremony to be installed as a Postulant will be arranged at the soonest opportunity.
At the Order's investitures, following a period of Postulancy you will be graced with the mantle adorned with the OKSMB Cross and Star and a tunic with the Star of the Order on the front, and ceremonially inducted into the Order within the majestic embrace of our soon-to-be home, St. George's Church.
As a not-for-profit entity, our sustenance is ensured through an annual obligation of £30 due the end of January, regalia Mantle and Tunic £103-£115 dependent on size plus postage with financial transparency unfailingly extended to all members.
